Anyway... the only reason I'm even stopping by to this blog is because I'm bored and this can sometimes be fun... but not lately...somehow I long for the old days from 2008 when people were so confident that STE would never last etc. That was exciting.

Sorry naysayers . . . Shop to Earn rocks and . . . and . . . truth be told...it hasnt even started yet! It's still a baby of a company with so much room to grow and expand.

For those of you that joined last year and didnt like it . . . take another look. For those of you that said 'no thanks"...take another look. I have saved over $1,200 in cash back alone in the 10 months of 2009 buying stuff I needed to buy ( see /nygiants ) AND that doesnt include the additional $2,000+ I saved getting better deals on my Virtual Mall by knowing where to find better storesand using coupon codes etc. Example JR Computer World has a lot of the same electronics as Best Buy for 20% less in addition to a higher cash back . . . same exact stuff and they do not charge sales tax if you live outside of NY state. This is what keeps STE growing . . 123inkjets.com half the price of HP and then 28% cash back!!! People think Babies-R-Us for baby products but thyere are another 5 or 6 stores with the same name brand strollers and cribs etc for much less and more cash back. Why? no brock and mortar stores and minimal advertising. . . . If you know people that like to save money... fill them in! times are tough and every pennny counts.

When something makes a lot of sense . . . it tends to thrive. There's lots of money in this e-commerce biz.

LOL... what the heck is all that go-daddy stuff ? I'm taking their "buy-in fee" ?????? Hysterical.
And all this about my IP address etc? I don't even really know what an IP address is!! I'm guessing its a code or link to my PC? All I know is how to shop on line and send emails. I'm not very tech savy at all. I'm just one of over 100,000+ STE brokers that listens and learns and shows the business to others.
I have to laugh when people say I overstate my earnings. I tell it like it is . . . in fact, I try to downplay my earnings sometimes because it seems to good to be true. The main site has made over $220k since the summer of 2008. That's pretty good on its own. I no longer need to mention that my wife and my other biz partner has made almost the same.

I've done a lot in my 23 years since I got out of college . . . traded currencies on Wall Street for some of the world's largest banks back in the late 80's and mid 90's. I started a PEO in 1997 and sold it to private investors in 2003. Then started a succesful Title Insurance agency that I still own with partners. All along I woudl NEVER listen to any MLM or pryamid scam pitch about a healthy juice or skin care product. Not for me ...never!

But Shop to Earn caught my eye . . . I always valued my time and have been shopping on line since my kids were born. Trudging to the store, taking them out of the car seats and putting them in strollers was not for me. Years ago I was happy to pay extra for shipping and handling for teh luxury of shopping at 9pm or a Sunday morning from my living room.

The following (public) information is provided via the public whois database.

He's likely paying about $60/mo for web hosting to get uninformed people to shovel several hundred dollars apiece into his pocket. LOL! At GoDaddy, you can set yourself up as a web host and sell hosting to your customers - your cost: $5/customer/mo. So for each of these people, he's taking their buy-in fee, and then charging them $9 more per year than it costs to host their "site," when they renew so they can continue to sucker their friends and families into the money funnel, plus getting them to spend money through the system so he gets affiliate fees on each purchase. He's very funny. Amazing how gullible people are. Would be really interesting to see if Joe O's IP address is in the same block as "Shop Save Earn, Shop To Earn, ShopToEarth"

Bet this is against GoDaddy's terms? Most likely. Someone may want to drop them a line...

Joe,

I spent almost 8 hours reading this entire thread. I had mixed feelings going into it.
This thread made up my mind. I joined under Bob M. in Stamford.

I was concerned about "selling" to friends and family, but it occurred to me that if I
won the lottery what would I do - I'd share it with friends and family. OK, this isn't the
lottery, but it is an opportunity (with incredibly better odds). Or not. If it's not for them the last thing I want is for them
to join. But the OTHER last thing I'd want is to turn this into a huge success and have friends and
family come to me and ask "Why didn't you at least tell me and let ME decide?"

Internet sales will continue to grow. Being a part of it is exciting. I know a few guys that "do it for free"
because they know how to create their own website, and join affiliate marketing programs like Commission Junction.
I don't - and most everyone I know doesn't either. For the price of entry, to get my own site (OK it's not "technically"
my own) with the full support of the company behind us - this is just too good an opportunity not to be part of.

Thanks for your replies to Paul and company, I appreciate everything they had to say. Their points have a great deal
of validity, as did yours. MLM is in the eye of the beholder. Every organization from Government, to business,
to schools, to street gangs, to sports teams have a pyramid structure - some flatter than others, but a pyramid
nevertheless. So what if ShopToEarn looks like the US Gov't?

So long as the company continues to carefully follow the rules and regulations as set forth, and it gives opportunity
to hundreds of thousands of people who are willing to work for a living, being part of something this early in the game
is an opportunity you don't find every day. How many unemployed people today could turn this into the best thing
they've ever had?

I look forward to meeting with you at some point.

Oh and if anyone else wants to take a look at the program, by all means follow my link --- :-)

Dear I Want to Believe. You might not know this, but you do not want to "be convinced". Just like every nay sayer in this blog, you are just looking to be validated. It would be better if you all stopped looking for answers else were and looked within your self, wouldn't it? For the truth you seek can only be found there. You see; if you believe this opportunity is a scam you are right. And if you believe, as I do; that this opportunity is a God sent vehicle to financial freedom; then you are also right! You get to choose! Not any one in this blog, just you! So choose to get involved, then get trained, give it all you've got and, if you do the business as it was designed to be done, there is no way you can fail! Or, choose not to get involved, be at peace with your choice and move one leaving the rest of us who believe in it, free of all your uncalled negativity! Because not a single one of you are doing the next person any favors by swaying them from joining STE. You are just crushing their dreams! How do you know they won't be successful? How do you know they won't be the next million dollar producer with STE? You don't! The bottom line is You-Do-Not-know! So stop thinking you know and start thinking! Like Jen, she sure sounds proud of what she did with her mom. I have no doubt she truly believes she did something good for her! What if? What if Jen's Mother was gonna produce a six figure income with STE? I know plenty of people who have done it! Average people too! The compensation plan is the same for everyone. How is she any different? Jen said it her self, "My very intelligent Mom". Isn't a "very intelligent Mom" likely to make a very intelligent business decision? Of course! And guess what, she did! A chance at financial freedom for $448.00. But good daughter Jen knows better. She does not! Has Jen done the business? Can Jen even pass a pop quiz about STE basics? She can't. Bottom line is guys; people already think what they think of this business. And nothing will change that. So the question is what do YOU think? What does your gut tell you after you have done your own research? Listen to it! I assure you it is gonna help you make a better choice than this blog.
Peace to all!

(ED NOTE: really? A "gut" feeling is going to do better than a blog where vehement opinions both for and against STE are out there for all to see? Please believe me, the only thing I haven't posted in its entirety is a) spam and b) Joe's desperate attempts to draw attention away from his Small Man Syndrome)

funny . . . I was reading all the banter from last summer and fall. Very entertaining stuff!

WHERE HAS EVERYONE GONE? THIS IS NO FUN !! WHERE ARE THE STE NAYSAYERS NOW?
FYI, my biz is chugging right along...well over 6,200 brokers and I have been making between $30-40k a month for ALL OF 2009. This STE business STILL hasn't even begun yet. we only have 120,000 members. Monavie has over 2 million and they sell one product!
Watch what happens the next 2-3 years. OMG its gonna be scary good!
